What Their Mission Was
Several Elves saw what was going to happen to Middle-Earth(® Tolkien) and left before Sauron (® Tolkien) came to power, and "they sailed past the grey havens, to far away lands" (® Tolkien). The Elves hit land after many months at sea, and several different colonies appeared each speaking a different tongue (shown on map page and language page). Most stayed in the same proximity, but some ventured out past the colony borders, and soon all of North America was uncovered by the Elves.
